Manage digital platform and channel launch

Insight appointed ComingNext.TV to help the launch of their digital channels including the website, mobile apps, VOD and livestream platform, and social media channels.
INSIGHT is a global factual entertainment channel that broadcastst in Ultra HD. It offers an unrivalled interactive, immersive and dynamic viewer experience. The channel launched October 2015 at MIPCOM and is reaching around 60 million homes as a starting point.

Objective

Insight appointed ComingNext.TV to help the launch of their digital channels including the website, mobile apps, VOD and livestream platform, and social media channels.
After the launch of the channel we continued our collaboration and assisted Insight with website and app development, the launch of digital marketing campaigns, building the digital team and growing their online presence.

Approach

ComingNext.TV provided a senior digital manager that worked on-site with the Insight team to launch the digital platform for their new Ultra HD channel. The digital manager was responsible for the development of the website and mobile apps, the selection process for their online video platform and launch of the social media channels. We supported Insight with the development of their social media strategy and the launch of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. At the same time we managed the launch of Insight.tv, including livestreaming and on-demand viewing for web and mobile in just 3 months. Just in time for the big channel launch during MIPCOM 2015 in Cannes. After the launch we grew the digital team and continued the development of the online platform working closely with external partners.


Results

  • Successfull launch of the Insight.tv video platform on web and mobile in just 3 months. Including the first Full HD livestream (1080p), for a global broadcast channel.
  • Selection, contract negotiation and implementation of the online video platform (OVP) creating an automated ingestion and publication workflow.
  • Launch and strategy for social media channels and setting up the social media department. We joined the production teams on-set to create ‘web only’ material to promote the show.
